Good tape measure,
I’ve had this for about a year. I bought it so that I could keep track of my body measurements to see if my workout routine was doing anything. The tape measure is good quality and the auto retract feature is very convenient. The end tap folds down so that you can’t pull on it by accident if you are carrying it around in a purse. I have no complaints about this product.

|A nice tape measure.,
It’s almost entirely plastic (tape itself is fibreglass), made in Japan, it’s dimensions are 2″ x 2″ x 0.5″, it weighs 1 ounce. The fit of the two pieces of plastic that make up the body is rather poor, still a nice tape measure, but you WILL notice the casing’s misalignement when you hold it…

|Lightweight– handy for portability,
The clover “Shiro” Tape Measure is a handy device because the tape retracts in the case easily and it is a small, lightweight product, at 1 oz. I will use near my sewing machine or at my home desk (where there is always something I want to measure) and a second one to carry in my purse. Its portability is its high point. There are minor differences in the case appearance, but the function is the same. Pull on the tab to extend the tape; press center button to retract. As Reviewer Claycrete pointed out, the Product Dimensions cited by Amazon are incorrect. It is 2″x2″.
I like the tape measure, but find it inconvenient that the zero measure is over 1.5″ inside the tab. To me that makes it not ideal either for sewing or to measure the body. That said, it could be useful for carrying or for storing in a compact sewing box. The retract feature functions smoothly and the case is well fitted.
