Had this mixer for a couple of years and it’s a solid hand mixer. A few observations:

    – I love the ridges on the bottom of the mixer. It allows the mixer to stand by itself on the counter, over the bowl while you add other ingredients in. Very nice feature.

    – The low setting is pretty high in my opinion. Never had any problem with over working batter or anything like that. It’s just that there may be a little splatter effect as you start up the mixer on low.

–The metal mixer part is very decent. Had for over two years and no rusting or chipping on them. Do have to say that the design of the mixers has thicker stuff getting sucked up into it sometimes. I have to scrap them out pretty frequently. But that may just be a flaw inherent in hand-mixer design anyway.

    – Motor is pretty strong. At most I would say a thick cookie batter. Pie crust dough, ok. Bread dough– forget it!

Good price and very good beater. The choice of speeds suits me fine. Have been very happy using it this past year.

I’ve only had this item a few weeks so haven’t ysed it much but it seems fine. Its got lots of different speed settings. Seems to work well and my son loves helping with it.
